Liquid Orange pigment for DIY nail polish

Lucky you, bright colours are by far the easiest to create.
Our orange pigment is exactly what you need to work on shiny, springy or summery shades.

    - more liquid than other pigments, you'll notice when sampling it with your pipette.
    - lighter, with no opaque background (unlike the red ones), which makes it purer to mix.
    Orange
Let the sun shine in your DIY nail polish: this orange pigment works very lightly within the formula so be generous, help it shine through!

Mixing Base

1 bottle = 1 polish. Each base enables you to create a polish. They contain 0.08 fl.oz. of mixing plant-based solution, to which you can add a maximum of six pipettes of pigments or pearls.

Follow the recipe

Team one pipette to each bottle of pigment or pearl to avoid mixing colors. To fill a pipette: squeeze the end to empty the air out, insert the tip into the pigment and release gently.

Step by step

Pay close attention to the quantities indicated: some are measured in pipettes, others in drops. If you go over six pipettes of pigments, you won’t be able to mix your polish.

Shake it well and create your own colour!

When adding a new ingredient, close the bottle, shake vigorously until the colour appears to be homogeneous.Discover our catalog of recipes

Questions fréquentes

  • Do you mix pigments like you do with painting ?

Not really. Keep your eyes open: each pigment has its own personality and plays up differently with other pigments.

  • Why liquid pigments instead of powder pigments?

Because it makes creating your nail polish super easy! Powder pigments are volatile and hard to manipulate, with nailmatic LAB, no need for a science degree to create your own colour.
    - No scale needed to weight ingredients, nothing to toss
    - No messy stirring, no grainy liquids

  • How to create a light nude (like peach-toned) nail polish?

Use White pigment for starters and add just a little bit of Red pigment. You're done. For a nude beige: again, keep things as white as possible. Add an extremely small amount of orange and purple (or black). Nottoo much or it'll turn army green.

  • How can I create a bright colour of DIY polish?

Lucky you, bright colours are by far the easiest to create: better to start off with a pure red rather than a complicated licorice. To get a bright colour, keep the mix simple: no white or complex colour such as black or purple. For instance, a white pigment would make your bright colour turn to a pastel shade.

  • How to deal with DIY pastel nail polish?

To create a pastel nail polish, you need to use a large amount of white pigment. The color just needs a very light dose of pigment (a few drops).
Pastel nail polish is a pain to apply ? Add extra fine pearl particles to get a more even colour. It will give a smoother, more flexible texture to your white, making your nail polish less prone to leave streaks.
